It's a showcase of ensemble musical theatre talent. We will host school theatre groups, clubs, casts and city performing arts groups in a single venue. Groups will perform a 10-12 minute (maximum) musical theatre offering from an abridged version of their his school's yearly musical, a single production number from a musical, or a review of songs from a single composer. A complete directors guide with specific performance rubric and guidelines will be provided.
These mini-performances will be presented in a full-length musical theatre showcase performance and will be open to the community. A panel of professional judges will adjudicate the performances based on a performance -rubric and the top three groups will receive SCHOLARSHIPS from the Rudy Foundation, with the highest honor of MASTER OF THE HOUSE going to the school who earns first place. It's fast paced musical theatre with a competitive edge and an element of surprise. We invite you to participate in this exciting educational adventure!
